Which Little Scribblers subscription is right for your child?

​Year One Subscription
(Follows typical development of 1- and 2-year-olds.)

When your Little Scribbler is developing and/or perfecting:
  • A pincer grasp
  • A willingness to experiment
  • Holding crayons with fists
  • Making crayon strokes
  • Scribbling on paper
  • Painting with whole arm
  • Fingerpainting
  • Stamping
  • Tearing​
  • Stringing (16-20 mos.)
  • Vertical and horizontal lines
  • Circular scribbles (closer to 2 years)
  • Copying an adult's movements at their level
  • Following one-step directions given to them
  • Independence and preference

Year Two Subscription
(Follows typical develoment of 2-4-year-olds.)

When your Little Scribbler has developed all of the skills from Year One but is still developing and/or perfecting:
  • A more deliberate scribble
  • Drawing circles
  • Vertical, horizontal, and diagonal lines
  • Snipping with scissors
  • Peeling
  • Stringing large beads, colored pasta, cereal, etc.
  • Holding a crayon with thumb and finger
  • Using one hand consistently
  • Painting with wrist action
  • Rolling, pounding, squeezing and pulling clay
  • Cutting along a line
  • Writing an approximation of the first letter of name
  • Copying an adult’s movements at their level
  • Following multi-step directions given to them
  • Independence and preference
